Uptown Writer's Space
The process of writing a book is an interesting one. My favorite author, Michael Chabon has said that successful writing is made up of three factors; talent, luck and discipline. The one factor that all of us have (or should have) complete control over is "discipline."
We authors have to find a time every day to write, and we have to find a place for writing where we feel comfortable and inspired. One of the places that I found that I can drop right into writing and forget about everything else is the Uptown Writer's Space.
This fantastic spot is located above the historic Green Mill Jazz Club, and it provides Chicago writers of all genres a dedicated place to work in an inspirational environment.
As my two friends Julie and Susan who own the Space say, it's quieter than Starbucks, not as quiet as the library, and more affordable than your gym. If you have the desire to write and to learn, check it out...you may find that you walk out with your book.
